a business

(and still have a life)

for consultants, solopreneurs, freelancers
and small business owners

Is building and growing your business a constant battle with overwhelm?

Building and growing your business is tough. You have to look after a million things. There are never enough hours in a day. You can’t afford to outsource everything, you don’t know how to do half of the rest of it, and you have to wade through acres of hype and hard sell to find the good stuff.

While you’re spinning your wheels, the pressure is mounting to get more clients, more sales – but that never happens fast enough. And while you’re running at a hundred miles an hour your life is slipping away. You don’t have as much fun as you know you should, your dog barks at you when you get home and your mom’s playing the guilt card.

So how do you deal with overwhelm? How do you decide what to do next – and when you do, how do you go about doing it?

There is a way out

The way out of overwhelm – and getting stuff done – has four parts:

  • First, you need a framework for building a business so you don’t miss the important bits.
  • Second, you need a roadmap to help you understand what you need to focus on now, and what comes next.
  • Then you need to understand what needs to be done. If you don’t, you will never know whether something is being done well or not.
  • Finally, you need to get stuff done so you can have the life you want.

You’re going to find all of that here – and more.
There's a framework for building a business; a roadmap to guide you along the way; articles and info products to help you understand stuff; and step-by-step guides to help you do it.

Oh yes – there’s lots of free stuff too.

Hi there!

Neville in yellow small.png

My name is Neville Chamberlain, and my mission is to help entrepreneurs build a more successful business faster – so you can have the life you want.

Even with my corporate and startup experience, building my first business as a solopreneur was incredibly frustrating. I had to learn how to do a lot of stuff my colleagues or team took care of before, and there was so much hype and confusion on the Internet my head was reeling.

What you’ll find here is the result of my passion: making the process of building a business simple and clear. That doesn't mean it’s easy, and I don’t claim to be all things for all people, but if you’re building or growing your own business, I hope I can help.

What you won’t find here is hype, sleaze or hard sell. That’s just not my style. And oh yes, if you do download something or sign up for my newsletter, I will always keep your information safe and never make it available to anyone (and you can unsubscribe at any time).

Have you ever wondered how to organise all the stuff that goes into building and growing a business? How to figure out what you need to do next, where the bottlenecks might be? In short, how to deal with overwhelm?

The Tornado Method is exactly the framework you need. It will help you:

  • deal with overwhelm by organizing all your business stuff into 11 buckets;

  • get an at-a-glance view of how well you’re doing in the 5 stages of your revenue engine;

  • get brutally honest about what’s working and what not; and

  • focus in on the one thing you need to do next.

The Beginner’s Guide to the Tornado Method is a free download. You can learn the basics in under an hour, assess your business in less than that, and decide where you need to focus in another 30 minutes. With overwhelm out of the way, you can focus on getting stuff done. And for that, there’s more help – but you should start here.

The Beginner’s Guide to the Tornado Method is free. When you download it, I will add you to my mailing list. I promise I will never spam you, I will never sell or give away any of your information and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Free Articles
Every week I publish an article devoted to building and growing small businesses. Head on over to the blog for articles on productivity, marketing and sales, running your business and more.

Under Development
We’re continuously developing new stuff you can use to build, grow and run your business. Make sure you’re signed up for the newsletter to get advance notice of new products.

Comments welcome!
I’m always happy to help if I can and your comments and questions are welcome. The quickest way to get a response is to send me an email – I answer every one and will help you as much as I can.

PS: No hype, no hard sell
If you’re here you probably dislike hype and hard sell as much as I do. I’ve never found a 5-day email course that will make anyone expert in anything – so you won’t find any of that kind of stuff here.

PPS: Life should be (more) fun
I won’t claim to be a comic but I do enjoy what I do – so you’ll see my (somewhat dry) humour pop up here and there. I hope that you will find this stuff useful – and have more fun building and running your business.
