Design a business that doesn’t keep you awake at night

 
 

There’s a ton of stuff involved in building and running a business. When you get busy (and you always are), it’s easy to forget that you need to pay attention to your marketing, or deliver on a promise to a client, or follow up with a past client.

To build a business that can grow without having to be in panic mode all the time, you need to know exactly how you’re going to market to attract new clients, nurture them so you can make the sale and deliver above and beyond every single time. And you need to design it in such a way that you don’t have to work 80 hours a week.

If you don’t know exactly how you’re going to attract, engage and service your customers, your business won’t grow the way you want it to. And you’re going to be in panic mode most of the time, fighting fires and dealing with emergencies.

Announcing the Business Design Workshop

In this unique, limited-attendance workshop, you will create the blueprint for your business that attracts more of your ideal clients and allows you to focus on what matters most.

One of the biggest problems you have to solve is how you position yourself in the market so your clients get it. We're going to start with getting your positioning crystal-clear, and you'll get immediate feedback from your peers on what works and what not.

Then we'll dive into your Revenue Engine - the sequence of Marketing, Lead Nurturing, Sales, Delivery and Follow Up that generates revenue for your business. We'll figure out exactly how you need to market, nurture your leads and make sales so you don't have to scramble for leads all the time.

With only 10 participants per workshop, you get the best of personal attention and learning from what other entrepreneurs like you are doing.

For hungry entrepreneurs struggling to get traction

This workshop is for you if:

  • you are the founder or co-founder of a small business;

  • you’re up and running (even if you have little or no revenue);

  • you know what you’re selling – products, services or apps.

and you have these kinds of problems:

  • you’re not getting enough leads;

  • you spend too much time chasing low-quality leads;

  • you don’t always follow through on the good leads;

  • you sales funnel looks more like a sales straw;

  • they’re confused about what you’re selling;

  • they never seem to buy;

  • you struggle to deliver consistently; or

  • when you deliver, your marketing stops working.

You don’t need to be an expert at marketing or sales. You don’t need an MBA or be an experienced entrepreneur. You just need to be hungry to succeed.

This workshop is NOT for you if:

  • you’re just thinking about starting a business;

  • you don’t know what you’re selling, to whom, or why they should care; or

  • your business is doing just fine (in which case, congratulations!).

What you will learn, do and take away

This is an intense, action-packed and interactive co-design workshop. Before the workshop, you’ll have to download and read through the Beginner’s Guide to the Tornado Method so you understand the underlying framework.

Here’s what happens in the workshop:

1. Level the playing field

Make sure we have a common understanding of the Tornado Method and the tools we’ll be using to design your business.

2. Clarify your positioning

Crystal-clear market positioning defines who you are, what you do, for whom and why they should care. When everyone gets it, your selling just became a lot easier.

3. Design a product ladder

Create a compelling product / service selection. How to stop writing proposals. Design your Lead Magnets and Bonus Products.

4. Design your Revenue Engine

Design the end-to-end sequence of your Revenue Engine for minimum effort and maximum efficiency: Marketing, Lead Nurturing, Sales, Delivery and Follow Up.

5. Connect the dots

Design a seamless hand-over between each of the stages of your Revenue Engine. Ensure every lead gets the right attention and everyone has a 5-star experience.

6. Craft your implementation plan

Plan how you’re going to put your new positioning and Revenue Engine into practice. How to get support when you get stuck.

By the end of the workshop, you will have a blueprint for your positioning and Revenue Engine you can put into practice right away. You’ll not only learn the same techniques I’ve taught to hundreds of businesses before—you’ll also be inspired by others struggling with exactly the same kinds of problems. You will see the mistakes they’ve made so you can avoid making the same in your business, and walk away with a host of ideas for how you can ramp up your Revenue Engine in the future.

Bonus #2: A shared Miro Board with a Revenue Engine design template
Miro is an online infinite whiteboard (highly recommended, by the way!). Each workshop participant gets full access to their own board pre-populated with a Revenue Engine design template. The board is shared with me only, so you can ask questions about your design and get as detailed as you need to.
